Orgasil – Water-based Passivation

Orgasil treatment

Metal you can store for up to 6 months before painting

Metavate’s latest technology is a water-based passivation system called ORGASILTM, partnering nanotechnology with metal pretreatment. ORGASILTM creates a nanoparticle layer on the surface of metal, providing excellent corrosion resistance as the coating is highly hydrophobic.

In a different approach to PlaforizationTM, ORGASILTM requires metal surfaces to be cleaned and rinsed with water prior to treatment, however in keeping with our ethos of low environmental impact, our systems recirculate all the water used so there is no water to dispose of. ORGASILTM also works at ambient temperature and creates no sludge. Installing an ORGASILTM pretreatment system is highly cost effective whilst also improving process efficiency. Conventional Oxsilan plants can easily be converted into an ORGASILTM plant in order to take advantage of this new technology.

Testimonials

It sounded too good to be true but long term trials have proved the process works.

It’s the only process we’ve found that allows us to store cast steel and iron products without the worry of going rusty before assembly / painted.

We’ve seen lots of benefits - resolved storage issues, reduced utility costs, reduced water usage, carbon footprint AND our production time.
